Here…in Birds, Bees, Insects - is Jerman’s raw & unprocessed field recording prowess; presented simply as natural inherent manifest. Capturing the more intimate, and inevitably hushed moments with nature, while observing the fragility of life in, of - and all around itself. Originally self-released in 2001- after somewhat of a curtain-call to his previous works as Hands To; this is Jerman at the dawn of working solely under his own name - preceding decades of disciplined craftsmanship to the form.
a 60 min raw unprocessed tour-de-force … a seamlessly stitched soundworld consisting of grasshoppers, cicadas & birds, the warm desert wind, a lone bee buzzing in an agave stalk, or an entire beehive stuck in rocks…
witness the sound of a dying moth gasping for just one more flight…
originally released in 2001 as the 4th installment of his self released a.a.r.c. series.
a.a.r.c. was not a label - but, rather - a 12+ month Field Recording based project to be released once a month for an entire year.
This was release #4 in the a.a.r.c. series.
After all of the installments were released - the a.a.r.c. project was then effectively complete.
realized, executed & finished.
This is a cassette-only release.
50 copies worldwide.
